For an initial assessment, individual messages are rarely enough. Assemble the carriage order, consignment number, goods description, planned delivery place and timeline. Add the information said to show the specific risk.
Then arrange each instruction with its time, recipient and response. Mark whether the carrier confirmed, rejected, changed or apparently ignored the measure. If early delivery was requested, the consignor’s authorisation belongs in a separate part of the file.
Finally record what actually happened. Were the goods secured, rerouted, held, carried on or delivered at the planned place? These facts support the legal review and should not be replaced by a later legal conclusion.
